Have you heard about donor collaboratives? A donor collaborative is a structured approach to giving, where multiple donors pool their charitable capital towards shared social impact. An example of a donor collaborative is Community Funds on Charityvest. Not only is giving in community on the rise, but social collaboratives also offer opportunities to get more creative and purposeful with our giving. In an increasingly connected world, there is so much benefit to connecting with others in pursuit of a common mission. In 2022-2023, we had a positive impact on 2,304 lives. We work with our partners in The Regenda Group including #Centre56, Petrus Community (Homeless charity), Positive Footprints to complete our social value, this could be volunteering in schools or donating to local charities – anything to keep us regenerating places and creating opportunities for local people. Our recent Environmental, Social and Governance report shows how we met these targets, and shows our new ones for the next year. A Good Thing makes it easy for businesses in the United Kingdom to donate unwanted items to local charities, so less goes to landfill and more goes to a good cause. They provide a simple-to-use app, a matchmaking service, a certificate of giving, and recognition of supporters. Businesses are able to post offers for laptops, furniture, food, products, meeting rooms, or anything else they have to give. Who are we? What do we do? Who do we help? These are all valid questions, but here's a quick answer to all of them. Who are are? Fundraise & Recycle is a North-East based recycling company that uses innovative recycling methods to create multiple sources of income for the organisations it works with. What do we do? We provide clothes banks, home collection services, and other initiatives to organisations looking to create a sustainable and long term way to fundraise. Who do we help? We work with schools, community centres, charities, businesses, care homes and other settings as long as they're engaged in the fundraising and recycling process. Today is World Recycling Day. We as humans consume way, way too much, and the worse part is how we discard the items, and what happens to it all. As per the UN Sustainable Development Group: ♻ only 9% of all the plastic waste generated globally is recycled 🌱 79% ends up in landfills or in nature 🔥 12% is incinerated Even if amazing organizations like the The Ocean Cleanup keep cleaning our oceans, with our consumption, and with the global #populationgrowth, we are not doing any progress, and it will probably just get worse with time. I follow The Ocean Cleanup on Instagram and see their awesome work... just to have those rivers they clean accumulate #plasticpollution and other junk all over again in a matter of months, sometimes weeks. It's just endless!! I once shared this post (in 2019), now, the population is 8+ billion!...: "I'm one person in 7.7 Billion [now, 8+Billion!] people in the world. I am not be able to make a huge difference on my own. But every bag, straw, or single-use plastic I choose NOT to use, won't end in landfills, the oceans, or in the stomach of a whale, because of me." With the right support, Hope Ambassadors can reach more communities and villages that are in desperate need of #CleanWater and good #Sanitation. Our #Water_For_Life_Project is principally focused on promoting greater access to clean drinking water in consonant with #Sdg6CleanWaterandSanitation2030 Most of our previous beneficiary communities are completely outside the radar of government for long without little or no hope until we intervened. Evidently, a larger proportion of African population resides in the rural areas where infrastructure for good water supply are practically non-existent. We can change the narratives and make things happen through corporate support by way of #CSR, grants from Donor organizations or individual philanthropic donations. #BeGoodDoGood #ImpactTheWorld #BeAgentOfChange #LetsMakeImpact #LetsMakeThingsHappen
