The #windcatcher model out of Norway offers several compelling advantages over conventional offshore turbines: a smaller footprint, simpler floating installation and greater output through its cluster design of smaller blades. However, new findings indicate that there are more viable options available, including life extension.   Lifespan extension aims at prolonging the operational life of offshore wind turbines.
