Following a post by Isabella Massardo I saw earlier today, I got curious about #jobsgpt and decided to try it. Of course, the first job I asked it to analyze is that of the translator. ❤ I collected the results of the assessment in the carousel below if you would like to take a look. What's funny about this sort of post is this, that the estimated time saved by using LLMs is always very high for all or nearly all translation-related tasks and that it is always very low for all translation-agency-related tasks such as client communication and project management. The AI hype betrays an ignorance of translation worthy of the madhouse. Take slide 4 for instance. According to this slide, LLMs can save an estimated time of 60–80% for text translation because of "high accuracy," whatever that means. Obscurity aside for now, no translator I know thinks that 60–80% of the time expended on a translation comes from assuring "high accuracy." Accuracy is just one of many of the considerations that take time when translating. Because he's obscure and because he fails to define what "high accuracy" means, no one really knows what he means. Like a madman, he makes several mistakes. He tries to convince without substance. He believes his conviction should convince others. No matter how much a man believes he is Jesus or a chicken, no one believes him. He confuses numbers with the only exactitude that matters. If this isn't mad, I don't know what is. AI hype men and women are the high priests and priestesses of the obscure.

In this month I finished big work project, pass my exam in English language school and get on new level and moved to the other country. All this tasks I completed in firsts 5 days of may! I proud by me! Three years ago only one task took all my attantion, but now I lerned to be more selforganized, follow sheldue, count time. Further new tasks, new aims.
