OGC Standards in action! 🚀 The Cesium Moon Terrain is composed of precise terrain and imagery from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) program and other sources, and is provided as 3D Tiles, the OGC Community Standard created and brought to OGC by Cesium.

OGC is offering funding for support in developing an Implementation Plan. Applications close Aug 15. OGC Members can apply using the form below. OGC is supporting the Madinah Regional Municipality (MRM), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in developing an effective, standards-based ecosystem for all spatial data generated and processed in the MRM's day-to-day business. As a first step, OGC has developed a geospatial strategy that outlines the main building blocks around spatial data collection, processing, and sharing within the municipality as well as with external partners. OGC has now started the development of the Implementation Plan, which describes how the strategy can be realized step by step over the next few years. The aim is to further concretize the strategy and map it to the existing requirements and realities. The Implementation Plan will consist of a number of logically grouped tasks. Each task will be described along with an indicative timeframe and duration. Each task description includes expected deliverable(s), an indication as to whether the task would best be carried out purely by MRM staff, outsourced, or some hybrid form, dependencies with other tasks, and any interactions with external stakeholders. In order to provide the best possible expertise, OGC would like to expand its team to support work on the Implementation Plan. For this reason, OGC is inviting any current OGC member to apply to become a team member for this project. The development of the implementation plan is scheduled for the second half of August and September, 2024.
