We seem to have affinity with CTO. A case of Right BC AVF recently underwent open thrombectomy had the fistula rethrombosed in 2 weeks time. IN-IR had the pleasure to recanalized it with endovascular pharmaco-mechanical thrombectomy (sheath suction, balloon maceration, and wall contact maceration technique with cleaner XT), CTO central venoplasty, and inflow fistuloplasty. Diagnostic medical Sonographer-Radiographer, Lecturer at Tel Aviv University, Point of care ultrasound course coordinator, Ultrasound Clinical Applications Specialist.
Lipomas are benign, with no malignant potential, and usually occur in subcutaneous tissues virtually anywhere in the body that contains fat(bones, mediastinum, and along the gastrointestinal tract). Lipomas also can be in deeper tissue, can be intra or intermuscular, and can affect a wide age range. Ultrasound is a useful tool in the diagnosis of superficial lipomas with good sensitivity and even better specificity. Magnetic Resonance Imaging is useful for assessment of large, deep-seated lipomas. #Ultrasound #POCUS #Lipoma #Soft_tissue #Benign #Malignant
