I saw this book at the MCO airport while traveling home from Orlando because I was looking for something to read on the flight home. This book was timely and had great content and insights that would be relevant to any creative or work industry. As architects, our designs shape the built environment and spaces where people live, work, and play. But beyond the blueprints and CAD models, there’s a crucial element that elevates our work: emotional intelligence (EQ) and mindfulness. Emotional Intelligence: By honing our EQ, we can better understand and empathize with our clients’ needs, anticipate how spaces will be used, and create environments that resonate emotionally. High EQ fosters better teamwork and communication, leading to more innovative and harmonious projects. Mindfulness: Practicing mindfulness allows us to stay present and fully engage with our creative processes. It helps in managing the stress of tight deadlines and complex projects, and enhances our ability to think critically and creatively. A mindful approach ensures that we consider every detail, resulting in designs that are not only functional but also beautiful and sustainable. Born and raised in Iran, Sina got his master's degree in Architecture from Columbia University in New York, where he worked for a decade before moving to London, then Copenhagen. He joined us in 2021. "In order to get a clear image of what I do, let's take a step back and look at the services PLH currently provides to our clients," he says. "One of our core services is interior design, and designing workplaces is our specialty. This involves concept development, space programming, spatial planning, and coordination with experts." But, as he explains, far more goes into creating an excellent workplace than functionality and aesthetics: "By providing services like project advisory, user insights data and analysis, workplace strategy and experience design, we link the client’s business strategy, people & culture, and facility management with the physical workplace." The actual asset of an organization are human brains, which collectively contributes towards the quality perspective of org, which automatically generates everything: Revenue/ Building/ asset/ Technologies/ Clients every thing..... If you don't have sufficient human brains and Fully dependent on technologies, then one day you will definitely get ditched, as technologies can't think in all perspectives and the wider range which human brains are only capable to do....

Talking about workplace projects and how to support collaboration, productivity and wellbeing, John responded: "Collaboration, productivity and wellbeing have very different spatial and environmental demands, so the most important thing is to avoid one-size fits all space, and create architectural elements which meet the function. Collaboration needs the right mix of acoustics, privacy, flexibility and tech. Productivity needs workspace that brings people together, with an environment that allows focus as well as communication. Wellbeing sits across the whole experience and asks us to think about daylight, space away from the desk, access to the outdoors and comfortable spaces to eat and drink."
