Why is entrepreneurship so important? 🙋♀️ AND How easy do we think it really is to start a business❓
Being an entrepreneur was a way to really be me. To do my thing, in my way.
For me, it is the best job on the planet🪐🪐🪐 - a driver of individuality and being you, a promoter of inclusion and difference, a way to value people and include them on a journey, and a provider of much needed disruption to an outdated system by solving so many problems that need solving and many we didnt even know needed solving. It allowed me to build finnCap into a leading financial advisory firm with a different, more inclusive culture. Inclusion became my passion because I could see what a difference it could make. But entrepreneurship also made me feel included.💡💡💡
Governments dont solve problems. Entrepreneurs do.✅✅
ENTREPRENEURSHIP SHOULD BE FOR EVERYONE.
If we ensure entrepreneurship is available to everyone, we will solve the MOST problems as well as actually find out what problems really need to be solved. There are currently many potential entrepreneurs out there who think they might not be - they are the ones who can see the problems that need to solved in a different way - because it is personal to them. We need their authentic style of leadership and we need a different way of doing business. An entrepreneur can come from anywhere and be anybody. It could be you.
So we need to do more to reach those that could make a difference. Champion it and support those and the ecosystem already doing it, make it more accessible and showcase real people already building real businesses that are much more relatable as well as bust the myths around what it takes to start a business. Everyone has imposter syndrome. I still do so dont let that stop you.
This report from The Entrepreneurs Network, where I am a patron, does exactly that. It looks at what Britain really thinks about entrepreneurship so we can build a society that enables and encourages more people to launch and grow a business. Thanks Philip Salter. Well worth a read.📚📚
If we ensure entrepreneurship is championed in the right way and available to all we not only solve the most problems we start to see things differently, we start to level up wealth generation across the UK AND we might actually start to see growth again. A renewed entrepreneurial spirit in UK plc - because it is inclusive capitalism. It is relatable and it includes everyone. We need to unlock it.🗝️🗝️🗝️
Entrepreneurship gives people the ability to be themselves, to lead in their own way, to create a culture that represents their values, to make a real difference and solve a real problem. IN THEIR OWN AUTHENTIC WAY. It could be you.👍👍👍
