Consumer-focused Innovation in Real Estate & Relocation | RE Brokerage Owner | Startup Advisor | #LinkedinLive Beta Tester | Host, ReloTalk Podcast | Speaker
Curious about the $1.8 BILLION verdict against NAR…. Or what’s behind the numerous other lawsuits rocking the real estate world? The industry’s anti-consumer practices are why I left a “traditional” brokerage shortly after getting my RE license. As a homeowner, I was shocked to learn how the industry really operates. So I changed to an independent broker so I could manage my business according to what was best for the #Consumer—not what I needed to charge to allow a company to maintain its iron grip on business practices including high broker splits and unreasonable referral fees that prevented the competition from successfully reducing costs to the consumer. It’s challenging to truly innovate in a monopoly. But we did discover numerous “secret” tactics that we could implement to protect our clients including ways to negotiate or even remove the 3% buyer agent “fixed” fee. And thankfully these lawsuits open the door for more #innovation and business opportunities for those agents TRULY in this business to serve the consumer! Whether you are an AGENT, CONSUMER, RELOCATION provider — would love to connect! #Relocation #Strategies #180Relocation #Relotalk

What’s the highest compliment you can get in the real estate business? When a client says, “Paul Adler is MY broker.” When you get that monocore then you know you’ve earned the respect of your clients. This is a relationship driven business. In our walk of life, in our practice, you need to have that repeat business. How you performed the transaction, how you protected your client and how you advocate for your customer; is of utmost importance. You need to equip yourself with the kind of behavior that earns you the trust that they’ll tap on the shoulder again and say, “I need Paul Adler to handle this for me." #commercialrealestate Rand Commercial #newyorkrealestate

How do I find the ideal brokerage for me? https://bit.ly/3mgdeKQ Question from someone interested in starting a career in Real Estate. If I do decide to go the sales agent route, how do you pick a broker to work for? Our reply: Before you look for a broker... I've been in real estate for 20 years, manage 50 agents, and I've done more than 3,000 transactions, and I still wish that I would've picked a niche early on, and I would've killed it even more than I'm killing it now. So, reverse engineer this answer by finding out what you like about real estate and finding a brokerage specializing in your niche long-term! Examples PM, Retail, high-end, investors, etc... It's such a competitive market that it can become challenging in real estate without a niche. Nowadays, you also have to compete against technology and websites trying to take the job of the "realtor" away, but as long as it feels like a hobby and it is a passion, you won't ever stop until you make it. Venturing into the world of real estate investing can seem like a daunting task, but with the right guidance and information, you too can ace it! #rentals #realestate #cashflow #investing —————— Interested? Segment III: I really don't understand why I can't legally give a referral fee to a real estate agent that gives me a deal. It seems like it would be a perfect way to lock up the agent's business. Why is the state tying our hands? Monte from Louisiana Let us end this series with a discussion of what to say when an agent asks for a referral fee. It obviously is a very difficult situation. Let’s start with what not to say....https://buff.ly/3wgY6E4
