🔶 IMF includes Georgia in the list of 10 countries with highest unemployment decrease over 12 years. The World Economic Review of the International Monetary Fund has ranked Georgia ninth among the top 10 countries in the world with the highest percentage decrease in unemployment over the last 12 years. The decrease of unemployment in Georgia is estimated by the IMF by 11 percentage points and equals to 15.7 percent by 2024, compared to the levels in 2012.  The IMF reports that the unemployment rate in the country was the highest in 2010, 2011 and 2012 at the level of about 27 percent. As the IMF said, Georgia reached the highest percentage point of unemployment increase in the world in the period up to 2012. The key indicator of a country economy: In an ordinary country, the unemployment rate is the the key indicator to know whether country is developing or not. If the country controls the unemployment rate, but country is not performing, it has to control the productivity of the key sectors. The country has low unemployment rate and good productivity, still the economy is not growing, it is the indicator that the country is corrupt with the unproductive policies and the lower esteem people in the power. #productivity #unemployment #country #corruption

The Economist ranks countries by three measures: dollar income per person, income adjusted for local prices (known as purchasing-power parity, or ppp) and income per hour worked. The index is designed to give a more complete assessment of the world’s richest countries than does a focus on any single measure. Singapore and Qatar are Asian countries which are having top positions on the list. As expected the European countries with lesser population are on the top. USA is the only country with substantial population which is in the top 10, and it is remarkable. Australia is also in the top 20. As expected China and India falls in the 100s when it comes to per capita GDP, India is way far behind China. There is a lot of disparity in income amongst the population in both these countries. China followed Communism and India followed the socialism for the economic development. The OECD unemployment rate held steady at 4.9% in April 2024, with some countries seeing declines while others saw increases. The European Union and euro area maintained record low rates, while outside of Europe, rates were stable or rising. Gender gaps in unemployment rates persisted in many countries, but closed in some. Youth unemployment remained high in several countries, with some experiencing significant increases. Overall, the global unemployment situation remains varied and complex.
