The powerpose for diversity! We do it! Every year, as a part of the weekly celebration of Oslo Pride, The Oslo Pride Business Forum gathers top leaders, academics and minorities to discuss how to create a more diverse and inclusive work environement. Listening to politicians, former UN spokespersons, advisors, strategy directors and not to mention the pride community, is not only a mindopener but also key for learning. How can we create better work aspects for all our employes? What can we do to improve our common culture? The perspectives on minorities, understanding of social mechanisms and the importance of organizations being large and inclusive. Listening to all the stories being shared on stage, it is obvious that inclusion is not only about the structured approach but also about implementing the small things to show you care. Having the back of your colleauge. Showing support. The impact of inclusion can never be under-estimated. Diversity, Inclusion and Equality is important but not only on inclusion weeks: Its important every single day. June is the international month for Pride celebrations, but diversity need to be celebrated everyday. Thats is also why we did the powerpose. It actually came quite natural for Head of sustainability Line Berg Dørum and The Oslo Pride Business Forum presenter Brita Møystad Engseth (a well known TV- and radiopresenter) Thanks for the inspiration: Kimiya Sajjadi, Kjetil Smette, Mathias Holst, Chisom Udeze and Adrian Prent. 💚 💙 💛 🧡 💜 💓

🧑🏽🤝🧑🏾Diversity is key to employee engagement and productivity.🧑🏻🤝🧑🏽 Yes, that's a statement but we truly believe, that a diverse workforce is key to success. That’s why we have decided to support the first Danish Diversity Week 2024 as partner. "We are more than 2. 000 EG-employees in eight countries, representing a broad variety of cultures and languages. We expand our business year by year and with our size and ambitions for the future also comes greater responsibility. That's why we have decided to join forces with other companies to promote diversity in the Nordics and globally", says HR Director Tina Bodin, EG. Danish Diversity Week from April 15th to April 19th is a week fully crammed with physical and online events sharing the common goal of creating a movement towards more diverse and inclusive workplaces. "The overall theme of the week is 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜. This means to me, that we all have a responsibility to meet ourselves and others with curiosity, respect and trust. Only then can we embrace others. As a company, however, we are also very well aware of the role we play in the fight for ensuring equal rights, non-discrimination and well-being of LGBTQ+ people in a world where unfortunately that is still not given. As a company we have a special responsibility to deliver on that. We are convinced that diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination make us stronger both as people and as a business. The different perspectives give us the fuel to create something better for our customers as well as create a better working environment for everyone to thrive in and unlock their full potential", says HR Director Tina Bodin, EG. Danish Diversity Week is organised in cooperation between Goodtalks and DI - Dansk Industri, and with support from EG and other dedicated partners. 🗣️ “Initially, I didn’t think that my cultural identity influenced my professional behaviour. However, on reflection, I realise it’s deeply ingrained. Lithuanians are known for their strong work ethic and loyalty, traits I embody in my professional endeavours. These traits, my cultural identity, have undoubtedly been an asset; motivating me to pursue higher education, and driving my ambition and determination in the workplace, too.” 🔴 Koletta Jurskyte, our Digital Marketing Manager, makes an excellent point. It is easy to forget how our cultural identity can have a positive impact on the workplace, which is why it is important to recognise and celebrate it. 💻 Read Koletta’s blog to learn more about her cultural identity and how celebrating Global Inclusion Week 2024 can help your organisation recognise the contributions of your colleagues, allowing them to flourish and be their true selves at work: https://lnkd.in/dNiQPYRu 🏷️ #GlobalInclusionWeek2024 #GlobalInclusionWeek #Inclusion #Diversity #EDI

🌈Embracing Equality and Celebrating Diversity 🌈 This Saturday Copenhagen Pride Week kicks off, and we're reminded of the importance of fostering an environment where every individual feels empowered, respected, and valued for who they are. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace is not just a goal – it's a fundamental value that drives our success. Diversity is not only about the visible differences we can see, but also about the unique perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds that each of us brings to the table. In LTP we proudly celebrate this diversity because we understand that it's a wellspring of creativity and innovation. Talent knows no boundaries and no limits. 🌟 Embracing Diversity: A Personal Journey and Community Call to Action 🌟 As we reflect on the recent International Women’s Day, I'm compelled to share the journey that brought me, a woman of Indian descent, to the breathtaking Great Southern region of Western Australia. 🌏 Despite its natural beauty, my integration into the cultural tapestry demanded resilience and an extra mile of effort. But it's through these hurdles that I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of diversity and the urgent need for inclusivity in nurturing vibrant communities. 💪 While the spotlight on International Women’s Day has dimmed, the importance of diversity and inclusion remains as vital as ever. We must move beyond symbolism and commit to creating genuine opportunities for everyone in our community to thrive. It's about fostering an environment where diverse voices are not only heard but valued and respected. 🌈 In the Great Southern region, as in any community, diversity enriches our collective experience. Yet, achieving true representation remains a challenge. Diversity initiatives often fall short, serving as checkboxes rather than catalysts for change. We must dismantle the barriers to inclusivity and actively create spaces where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive. It's time to challenge stereotypes, advocate for supportive policies, and foster empathy and understanding. 💬 As someone who's navigated the complexities of settling into a new community, I understand the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. It's up to each of us to champion diversity and inclusion, ensuring no one is left behind due to fear or uncertainty. Together, let's embark on a journey towards inclusivity, where every member of our community feels empowered to excel and contribute their unique perspective. 🚀 Let's not let the momentum of International Women’s Day fade away; instead, let's embody its true essence – a commitment to equality, empowerment, and inclusivity for all. 💫 https://lnkd.in/gq-jRaZN
