I applied to the Google Certified Innovator program, and am absolutely thrilled to have today received an email that I’ve been accepted to attend the Chicago 24 cohort! #CHI24 Reasons this is awesome news: ❤️I get to work with a lot of Google Certified Innovators through my current work as a Google Trainer and they are an incredible bunch. Show me a community of more innovative and engaged education leaders! 💙People have told me this PD is the very best! Looking forward to learning and perhaps gaining an insight into Google’s cutting-edge ideation and design process. It has certainly led to lots of Innovators I know having an even greater impact on education after this training, with many describing it as ‘life-changing’. What could be more exciting than that? 💛I’ve seen the power of community and connection among Google for Education Champions at events such as the Dublin Symposium and I see how strongly connected the different cohorts become. The camaraderie and support for each other is really quite special. Excited to grow my network and make new connections. Mentors, coaches and collaborative professional networks are so important, possibly more than ever in 2024 in this challenging world we live in. 💚You have to submit a specific ‘problem’ when you apply to this program, that you could use Google technologies to solve. I submitted a challenge within education that is extremely close to my heart and I feel truly privileged and lucky beyond words to get some time in the US at Google’s Chicago office and beyond that to work through this issue and potentially devise solutions. (And at what feels like a pivotal time when Google’s AI is developing so quickly.) So I’m quite excited, and *thank you* to the Innovators I know- many of you have inspired me to apply through your own work, words and impact.

Who are you, "Lively Caribou"? 🤔 Today I'm celebrating 50% courses done in my Google Innovators learning path and 2nd place in courses' scoring system 🎉 . I get to admit, it's more entertaining than I thought at first. Hands-on labs go usually with relevant life scenario, and it's exciting to get into boots of the person I'd like to be. Scoring part is a kind of relief, you can opt out, but I decided to stay opt-in just to have additional motivation to move on with labs. But the Q&A part is something I don't very like, it would be much more convenient to talk about the questions on Discrord. But maybe in next 50% my opinion will change, let's see.
