Are you curious about why some people say Trusted Platform Modules are more secure than software-only security, and others show attacks on Microsoft's use of TPMs for full-disk encryption with BitLocker? You can sign up for the TC1102 class below, and learn all about "parameter encryption" - the necessary-but-unused-in-BitLocker, configuration option that helps secure against physical bus snooping attacks. Take the class as a two-day (~14 hour) beta, by taking the existing TC1101 "Intro TPM usage" class, and then jumping in to the new TC1102 "Intermediate TPM usage" class that's being beta tested starting August 1st. Beta classes are the best time to get maximum support from instructors, who pay extra close attention to the forums during betas. https://lnkd.in/ebYRua9h

And also we mentioned that we had hit 20k students a while back, and we're currently at well over 21k on our way to 22k! Let the mad skillz wash over you!

After our Open edX upgrade, we can now make classes *fully* open, so that students (and search engines!) can dive deep into a class to see what's inside. Though it's still recommended to enroll to track your completion progress and get a completion cert to post to your LinkedIn profile e.g. https://lnkd.in/eue8Cznh

And as a misc update, literally last night we finally got the course completion certificates for classes on #OST2 customized away from the default, so they look *slightly* less plain. This automatically applies to existing certs (go take a look). So keep grabbing those certs and posting them to your LinkedIn profile! But if anyone with graphics skills wants to help out we'd welcome it :)

OST2 is made possible by instructors who want to help other security engineers learn skills faster. So what we'd really like to see for this coming year are more instructors teaching more diverse topic areas. If you've got an idea, reach out at teach at ost2.fyi!

And while there are many other instructors with classes in some state of readiness (some with just an idea, and others with videos already recorded), we don't want to count our chickens before they hatch, and we'll let you know about future classes as they become more real - so stay tuned! The only class which is under development which we can say with 100% certainty will be released, is a Bluetooth Low Energy one by Veronica Kovah and Xeno Kovah

For those who've already started to learn how to interact with TPMs in TC1101, the next day of classes going even deeper will be starting in just a little over a week. But that's still plenty of time to jam through TC1101 and join the class with the material fresh in your head!
