Within the industry, Adrian "AP" Porter is known not just for his chops as a producer and musician, but also for his workflow and tools. There’s simply not a technical problem he can’t solve—a necessary trait in someone tasked with building the audio for the live shows of multiple megastars like Usher, Chris Brown, and many more. Having bought a Scarlett 4i4 gen 4 sound card last Christmas I finally got around to start recording something and putting it on my personal web site. The process goes more or less like this. I record my music using Garage Band (considering upgrading to Logic Pro) then export the tracks to a wav (losless) format file. I then use ffmpeg to convert the wav audio file to multiple formats including flac, m4a aac, mp3 and ogg vorbis. These files are then uploaded to Cloudflare R2 (S3 like object storage) which I've proxied with a custom domain (music.snorre.io). Finally I make a new collection entry in my Astro project containing some text describing the music as well as metadata (mdx entry with JSON values) about the recording including a list of files and their formats. My Astro template builds nice pages out of this with download links to each file and HTML5 audio player providing all the various formats. The users browser then figures out which file to use based on the device, OS, and drivers available. Neat! Currently I've only recorded one track, a ~1 minute long ambient synth wave track. There are some mixing issues (hence why I want Logic Pro) that I need to figure out, namely that blending the transition between two regions on the same track is a bit difficult. The transition causes a "pop" in the audio which is not so nice. Hopefully I'll keep recording some tunes and share them all with you. https://lnkd.in/dCQFY_Nw

Quick Studio One Vocal-Mixing Track: Hello everyone! Today, I'm excited to share with you how I created this cool reversed-stutter vocal trick. Here's a step-by-step breakdown of my process: 1. Choosing the Section: Select the section where you want to apply the effect. Highlight it and go to the macro section in your DAW. 2. Applying the Reversed Reverb: In the macro section, you'll find a variety of effects to add to the highlighted section. Choose the reversed reverb option. After processing, cut the reversed vocal out and create a new track to align the reversed vocal as you desire. It should work as a Riser, which has its climax shortly before the main phrase starts. 3.Adding the Stutter Effect: Next, we need to apply a stutter effect. Cut out the beginning of the first word and align it on a new track. Ensure that the stutter effect is on grid and doesn't disrupt the track's flow. I always create two stutters before the word starts, panning one to the left and the other to the right. Such tricks are incredibly helpful for making your track more interesting and adding a bit of spice. While listeners might not always notice these details, they are great for creating smooth transitions and enhancing the overall listening experience. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further explanation. While a soundbar will improve the audio experience in most cases with little hassle and not much extra expense, there are times when it's not the automatic choice: https://bit.ly/4abxqnf
