"Keeping Work In Progress to 1 is a core to Lean and pays off in spades. In general, you loose 20% of your productivity for every additional task you add, so a team working on 3 things is working at 60% efficiency." I would add: most of the time there's so much nuance in that one story that I'm sure there's enough work for the whole team! #software #productivity https://lnkd.in/exG75mAY

Our developers at Pagepro shared over 100 tech links on our Slack channel in the last few months, spreading the news about the latest tech trends, updates or tricks that increase their productivity and make their every working day easier. This habit, regardless of whether the links are interesting for all of us, triggers discussions within the team about various topics, which is fantastic! We group these news every week and talk them through during our meetings. It's a more-condensed way of learning that, I need to admit, is extremely effective. It has kept us informed, sparked innovations and improved our project outcomes. Some of the standout topics have led to exciting brainstorming sessions, and new skills gained. If it's about me, I deeply enjoy reading the below newsletters: https://lnkd.in/d4_VE7gq https://ui.dev/ https://www.superhuman.ai/ https://leaddev.com/ And highly recommend them! But of course, most of all, I admire daily.dev! Sometimes I dive into tech news a few times a day lost track of time reading how people resolve their tech problems or how they use various tools and libraries. And how do you keep up with the latest in tech and share knowledge within your community? I'd love to hear your strategies! #knowledgesharing #sources #teamwork

Providing full service digital accessibility including audits, training, strategic consulting, remediation, and custom design & development services with over 20 years experience.
A little bit of a rant, inspired by someone in the a11y slack community: Executives: the #1 reason why your organization's accessibility efforts will fail is because you don't support them. Here's the formula for failure: 1. Your organization hires one or more people who are charged with accessibility of your digital products. 2. Those people are ignored, sidelined, and marginalized 3. They get fed up and leave 4. They get a job at an accessibility services firm 5. Any progress that was made by your organization quickly erodes away. 6. Your organization repeats the process The single best thing you can do to ensure their success is provide vocal and visible support for the accessibility folks in your organization.

This is spot on. I'm sure this happens in organizations far too often, by leadership teams that don't understand the significance of accessibility as a key part of the process. I would imagine that accessibility is treated in many orgs as either checking off a box, or (worse) as a reactive measure. Accessibility is just like any other practice area. It won't succeed without leadership support.

Executive leaders we need you! Driving accessibility for digital products from the bottom up is not sustainable. It has to be actively supported from the very top. You don't need to be an expert, you just need to front it and — with support from specialists — learn to walk the talk. Without you, your organisation's accessibility efforts will fail.

One of my favourite bits about RecruitHub? Seeing the messages in our RecruitHub Slack Community. This is where 130+ startup founders have completely open and unfiltered conversations, share tips, ask questions, vent frustrations, etc... So amazing seeing: - Senior directors with experience managing teams of 50+ employees helping more junior recruiters navigate complex challenges - Some of the best recruiters in the world interact with one another - Recruiters that operate in different markets share what BD approaches work in their specific niches - Recruiters who've never met before get together with other locals for a drink after a long week It fosters amazing opportunities for learning, growth, and socialising (things that are normally pretty hard to find when starting a business).

What do you call 300 talent leaders in a room? 🤔 The third edition of LinkedIn Connect Greece. Co-hosted with CodeHub, it was a day packed full of great discussions about the evolution of the workplace and new ways of working. Who’s coming next year? #LinkedInLife
