#LookClosely - this is one of my favorite images created by the team at Joby Aviation. You can read more about how quiet our aircraft really is here: https://lnkd.in/gHa4Zsuh All credit to Eric Adams, his photography and his lime green wing mirror.
Impressive technology! Even quieter if you can project them as a hologram to distract the driver/pilot while you sneak past on the other side in your stealth jet 🤣 🛩 How well do the "self-flying" craft fair in the sky when the local avian population takes afront to the invasion of "their" airspace? Granted, the aircraft are usually larger/faster than the birds of prey (until the seagulls join with their clam barrage :-) How well does the computer-assisted/remote operation handle some of the turbulence (wind shear/updraft/down draft) that the news reported about (Singapore Airlines) recently? https://old.reddit.com/r/drones/comments/148mtem/how_often_are_bird_attacks_to_drones_check_below/
This video provides an indicative comparison of Joby's S4 with Archer's Maker and Midnight, using dB meters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFguE2qWPfk&t=6s
Oliver Walker-Jones and Joby Aviation: I love quieter than they appear - though I also like the play on closer than they appear as Joby certifications and entry into service are both fast approaching.
Seeing Joby Aviation appear on my timeline will never not make me smile. I'm so pleased that they are doing well, I can't wait to see Jobys come to Scotland eventually.
That’s probably one of the coolest Joby photos I’ve seen. Symbolic, too, as air taxis are coming for a chunk of traditional commuting!
That’s pretty good, though “closer” would work too 😉
Objects in mirror are quieter than they appear.
That's so clever.
Great picture. I would like to use it for presentation/lecture purposes. What copyright can I add? Would you share this also in a higher resolution? Much appreciated!!
