How many hugs have you ever received from your company Vice President? Is that a weird question? Not at all! Why? Because I had a chance to meet our Vice President of 3Pillar Global Talent team in person recently. I am speaking about Theresa Graff. She spent 2 weeks in our Czechia offices and it was an intense experience, I guess not only for all of us locally, but for her as well. In today's fast-paced world, where online connections seem to dominate our lives, it is easy to overlook the importance of personal connections. Yet, these offline interactions can have a profound impact on our overall well-being and success. When it comes to leadership, establishing boundaries and maintaining a strong presence are key factors. I spoke about it already in another post last week. And I must add also physical proximity. So, how many hugs have you ever received from your vice president? No doubt, I don´t need to see my organization´ top leaders physically, but having the chance to see Theresa in action, during the live discussion with the local leaders, our brand ambassadors and all the talented engineers we have in Czechia, was an incredible experience to gain a deeper understanding of how leaders establish rapport with their deputies and foster an environment conducive to open and transparent communication and cooperation. Innovation thrives in an atmosphere where individuals feel comfortable expressing themselves and pushing boundaries. A simple hug may seem insignificant, but it symbolizes a level of familiarity and openness that encourages creativity and risk-taking. Those hugs, walking meeting (first in my career) and chatting over coffee were powerful messages for me that Theresa values my input, respects my ideas, and is willing to support me through challenges. 👉 Such interactions contribute not only to stronger working relationships but also to increased motivation - confirmed by others who met Theresa - it was wonderful to chat with her and reflect on our own experiences, ideas and concerns.  👉 As either a leader or follower, consider the nature of your interactions with those around you. ❓ Are there opportunities for personal connections beyond formal discussions?  ❓ Have you established clear boundaries while still fostering open communication? I gained totally new perspectives on effective leadership strategies that can drive great collaboration and communication among the teams.
