🌊 An extremely interesting #innovation has been established by Yara International, a Norwegian chemical company, which has recently inaugurated Europe’s largest green hydrogen and green ammonia production facility at Herøya Industripark AS in #Norway. The plant is powered by a 24 MW renewable hydrogen unit that utilizes water electrolysis and #renewable #energy to produce hydrogen, replacing natural gas as the feedstock. This transition is projected to #reduce #carbon dioxide emissions by 41,000 tonnes annually from the site. The green hydrogen produced is then used to create green ammonia, a vital component in fertilizer production and a potential shipping fuel. Personally, I have many doubts about the successful mass adoption of #electric #vehicles, and hydrogen seems to be an interesting alternative that could disrupt electric technologies. #ESG

As a former PA&Safety person, I am cautious about hydrogen. It's all great until there is a leak.
