🍊🥩🍎🥛 If all of the surplus/wasted food (35-40% of what is produced😳) each year in the US was grown/produced on one HUGE MEGAFARM, that farm would need to be roughly 3/4 the size of California. Yikes * 75 Million Acres! Americans discard around $165 billion in food, ANNUALLY. Yikes * $165,000,000,000! This is not a "problem that we can bury," as it turns out. #WastedFood occupies between 20-35% America’s landfills, where it decomposes and generates methane—a greenhouse gas with an impact on global warming 25 times greater than CO2 over a century. 🙋♂️ for 75,000,000 * 165,000,000,000 * 25 reasons, it is time to make every week #FoodWastePreventionWeek
