“Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.” - Cree Proverb 🌍️ It's Earth Overshoot Day again. Today, August 2, marks the point at which humanity’s ecological demands exceed what Earth can regenerate in a given year. We are taking more than our planet can give. For the rest of 2023, we will live in the deficit. Earth is not limitless, neither are we. How do they calculate this? In summary: (Earth’s Biocapacity / Humanity’s Ecological Footprint) x 365 = Earth Overshoot Day This is our annual reminder to do less of what broke the planet, and more of what might heal it (and us).

We basically rape this earth dry for resources. It's disgusting. And then detonated nuclear explosions underground and above ripping horrible scars and traumatic deep wounds into our only the only living and life sustaining planet we got. We are so very selfish to think 🤔 for only our lifetime not the future generations. I'm honestly thinking humans are the problem for this earth 🌎. We are going to kill this earth 🌍 and what? Mars sorry over 100 Astroids explode 💥 into the planet's surface with the force of 50 to 100x a nuclear blast - every year. We wouldn't last 1 year on Mars. Because of the amount of astroids impacts. We will be Quickly wiped out. That why I agree with your view 🪟 of protecting this planet Earth. I hope they listen 🎧. Cause once we lost it we are all goung to die off.

Down-cycling materials isn’t the way to maximise resource efficiency and combat this but well done for using your platform
