Vice President of Health Policy at UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth | MD, PhD, FACP, CPE, FIDSA
For all of us who work across the spectrum of health care in #Texas whether it is #research, clinical care delivery, administration, communication, #education, #healthpolicy, #communityengagement, community partnership and regardless of discipline, regardless of position & job title - this report is a reminder as the year draws to a close that we have work to do. I still sometimes get asked why I live and work in TX. Part of my answer (besides I actually really do like the weather, even the hot summers!) is that there is work to do here that I have the skill & expertise to do and I want to be where that work is. It may sometimes feel subjectively like no difference is being made but an ocean is just many, many drops of water. Every drop matters. Many drops of water, each insignificant, can together become something massive and immense. Over this Holiday Season, rest, recharge and let us come back in 2024 and keep working at it - because together we can truly make a difference for health in TX. #OneStepAtATime #Together
