Couldn't agree more with Greenpeace for their reminder to all #retailers: you cannot reach your #climategoals if you don't rework your product offering & adjust promotional activities accordingly! Retailer Scope 1-3 emissions are significantly driven by the amount of animal protein being sold - and net-zero goals sometime in the future are nothing more than lip service if they do not revisit their product mix and promotional activities on animal meat 🛒🥩🍖🌱 A kind reminder: animal meat is responsible for almost 35% of all retailer emissions, but only accounts for 8% of their revenue... #thinkaboutanobrainer Greenpeace is clear: retailers must stop shifting the responsibility onto their consumers.
