Conversations like these are vital as much of the Global North rapidly scales up AI technologies while poorer countries like Pakistan struggle to adapt, adopt and reimagine these technologies for their populations. It is essential to ensure equitable access to AI, particularly when it comes to providing access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations. For me it is an honour to be part of the push for equitable access, to be able to develop and deploy contextualised AI tech for health in Pakistan and to be able to represent the Pakistani perspective at forums like these.

🤝 Innovation is truly conceptualized through collective interaction. 💡One grasps an idea, upon which another one elaborates and then this idea starts to flow around like a vivid and vibrant hot air balloon. 🎈But how do we take this idea, this balloon on the ground safely and materialize it in a manner that actually means something to people? 📌 How do we harness #innovation and #innovationinhealthcare for patients, healthcare service users, health systems and the whole population? ☑ We might also need some more innovative ideas to achieve that, in governance, in policies, in society engagement and so on. 📝 Therefore some more collective interaction is needed to take this a bit further. ♻ These two days in Copenhagen amazing discussions took place exactly on that - what a WHO Regional Office for Europe Innovation Ecosystem for Public Health might look like. 😎 Even though Copenhagen was cloudy, I had my sunglasses on because the future seems bright. https://lnkd.in/dUAfab_u Gauden Galea Moredreck Chibi (PhD)

Collaboration should have no borders. This week I had the pleasure to join an inspiring idea exchange organised by Denmark in the UK to connect with digital health stakeholders from the UK and Denmark 🇩🇰🇬🇧 Some reflections: 🏆Healthcare culture is key to adopting innovation. Staff can be your biggest champion if you understand this. 🧩Impact stems from how we support existing value drivers and complement existing workflows. We won't improve processes if we don't fully understand them. 🌐 The future of digital health is platforms and integration. There's no appetite to maintain fragmented digital ecosystems, so *in my view* the days of non-integrated point solutions are very very limited... 🧾 More than ever we need (and expect) pragmatic, robust evidence. Music to my academic ears, and some great examples were showcased by Charles Lowe, Ana Luísa Neves, Nanna Iversen and Ylva Pisters Particularly struck by how, across geographies, we are all grappling with similar challenges and barriers. Generating political will for health and wellbeing for all through a robust evidence base, new narratives and participatory governance, as well as supporting community-based approaches, thereby shifting societal values, reducing demand on health and social care services 2. Advocating for Wellbeing Economies that will facilitate new economic and financial models for health promotion and prevention within and beyond health systems, align incentives and multi-stakeholder cooperation, including private sector, while tackling the commercial determinants of health 3.
