Had an incredible time moderating yesterday's mentoring session! Our panel, featuring the remarkable Dakota Jones, Courtney Gahagan, and Megan Kernan, dove into vital topics like Leadership Principles, Career Growth, Negotiation and Compensation, Overcoming Challenges, Building a Personal Brand, Navigating Career Transitions, Mentorship, Sponsorship, Work-Life Integration, and Continuous Learning and Skill Development. We covered it all—from leadership principles to negotiating compensation, overcoming challenges, and the crucial role of continuous learning in a successful career journey. The audience brought the energy with insightful questions and a genuine eagerness to learn. Our candid discussions not only tackled professional challenges but also offered valuable insights for everyone. In our ever-changing landscape, building a trusted tribe is a must! Drum roll please… PATHBUILDERS® is thrilled to announce the launch of its 2023 Fall Percepta® Cohort! Today the team kicked-off this new, incredible cohort of high-performing female individual contributors and managers from 28 Companies and across 20 states (yes, the program is now 100% online!) on their 6-month leadership development and mentoring journey. It was a non-stop day for these participants and their strategically matched mentors (who they will meet in the next two weeks)! The cohort learned how to make the most of the program, heard from some of our incredible alumnae about their experiences, and explored their MBTI® assessments. However, the real magic happened when the mentees met their peer groups (who were also carefully matched for maximum growth)! The curriculum for this program is built around the collective needs of the participants (which is uncovered during the interview process). Over the coming months, these ladies will tackle topics including Managing Their Personal Brand, Building Credibility and Influence, Driving Accountability, Aligning with Others to Drive Outcomes, Giving and Receiving Feedback and Managing Results! They will leave each session with in-depth action items to implement immediately in their current roles as well as action items to prepare for the next step in their careers. We will soon log back into the Zoom room for some fun networking with their potential mentors – these mentees can’t wait to see who their peer groups are matched with. We are looking forward to the “big reveals” next week! As I've been speaking with potential candidates for the Towerscope Leadership Academy applications, there are a few new insights I've had that led me to making some adjustments to what we are offering. I'm learning that many folks are entering January with a greater feeling of uncertainty and overwhelm than ever before. They WANT to keep learning, developing, and growing intentionally. And they WANT to be part of a supportive network of like-minded leaders within a women-centered community. BUT, many aren't sure what support or learning makes sense to commit to because it's hard to even think about what will happen 6 months from now. I totally get it - No one likes making a commitment they can't keep or an investment in something when they aren't sure they are ready - especially not high achievers - We like to feel fairly certain we can reach the finish line of anything we start.
