"#shrinkflation" and "#skimpflation" is rising globally which some of have been revealed in UK and to many people surprise , Indian & Pakistani brands has no exception to Skimpflation. #Shrinkflation happens when a product gets smaller in weight, size or quantity while its price stays the same, drops slightly, or even increases, while #skimpflation is when a product swaps out ingredients for cheaper alternatives, again without changing the price. An investigation by consumer group Which? found a large number of popular brands have been hit by this sneaky - but not illegal - form of inflation. In my opinion ,This is critical in a context to immune brands from rising cost pressures ,One way to cut costs is to put less expensive ingredients in a product However it is It’s getting difficult for companies to get away with skimpflation because people will take pictures, will notice things, will report some of these things on social media. As I jotted down brief on Skimpflation ,prediction of skimpflation cases could increase globally before nutrition law coming into effec. (FDA) announced in last week of Dec 23 that January 1, 2026, will be the uniform compliance date for final food labeling regulations if if it contain high levels of sodium, fat, or sugar. #FDA #FOOD #REFORMULATION
