Three Pennsylvania hospital leaders were celebrated at HAP’s Leadership Summit for receiving this year’s Grassroots Champion and Most Valuable PAC Player awards from the American Hospital Association and HAP.   Patricia Donley, vice president, WellSpan Health and president, WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, received the AHAPAC/HAPAC Grassroots Champion award. This recognition goes to hospital leaders from each state who most effectively educate elected officials on how major issues affect the hospital’s vital role in the community, who have done an exemplary job in broadening the base of community support for the hospital and who are tireless advocates for hospitals and their patients.   Michelle Trupp, chief operating officer, Reading Hospital and senior vice president, Tower Health, and Douglas Hughes, president and CEO, Grand View Health received AHAPAC/HAPAC Most Valuable PAC Player awards. In an incredible commitment to advancing healthcare and the nursing profession, today we thank Jeanne Donlevy Arnold and her husband, Ed Arnold, for a $1.5 million donation to establish the Jeanne Donlevy Arnold Center for Nursing Innovation. “I just can’t give up having a foot in the nursing world because nursing is embedded in my heart,” said Jeanne Arnold, who held various nursing leadership positions at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.
