Building a community that helps build community. Much of my focus through many years of serving communities has been to empower people to use their passion for adventure to be a force for good in their community. We all have at least one thing that we love- whether it's doing something or being a part of something, our passion is a great motivator. When this motivation is tuned to building up others we see beautiful things happen in individuals and across communities. Action-adventure sports are vibrant communities of highly motivated people driven by passion. We flourish when we create a space for people to celebrate their passion for adventure together. Then we invite these groups of people to direct that passion into serving. It's a life-changing opportunity! Action and adventure sport communities are leading the way in finding fun, creative and sustainable ways to help build up communities around them. Community Engagement In the simplest form, community engagement means engaging with any group of people whether it be citizens who are living in a city or town, or with a group of employees, customers and stakeholders in any organization. It is about collaboration between groups of people to achieve shared vision or a goal towards betterment of a society or an organization. More participation among community directly contributes to the happiness and well being of a community.
