𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗭𝗨𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗦  In 2015, the United Nations established the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, a set of ambitious targets to improve global living conditions. Among these goals is ensuring access to safe drinking water for all. Despite this global commitment, the World Health Organization reported in 2020 that an estimated 2 billion people lacked access to potable water. Recent studies suggest this figure may be even higher, reaching as many as 4.4 billion people. Venezuela, a country with abundant water resources, presents a stark paradox: 80% of the population, including a significant portion of state hospitals, struggle to access clean water reliably. This crisis poses severe health risks to patients, staff, and visitors alike. Since 2018, Healing Venezuela has been working diligently to address this issue by installing water purification systems in Venezuelan hospitals. To date, our efforts have brought clean water to the kitchens of three major hospitals in Caracas, benefiting over 50,000 people annually. Beyond providing clean water for food preparation, we are expanding our initiative to include other hospital areas. In collaboration with our partner, CalidadAmbiental14000, we recently completed the installation of water pipelines in the bottle preparation room, intensive care unit, and patient wards of the Maternal and Child Hospital in Caricuao. While access to clean water should be a fundamental right, it remains an elusive goal for millions worldwide. Healing Venezuela is committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of Venezuelans by ensuring access to this essential resource within healthcare facilities so that access to water doesn't remain just a pipe dream.
