Did you know that up to 45% of ALL American physicians are 60 or older? That is a whole lot of doctors about to exit the workforce in the next 10 years! We already have a bigtime shortage of doctors and especially specialists. It is going to get much worse. I'm not planning to retire, as I've already mentioned, but it does make one think....Next time you see a doctor who is in their late 50s, 60s, 70s or even their 80s, please consider that they have a literal lifetime of experience evaluating and treating patients like YOU. It is hard to put a value on the ability of a truly seasoned veteran physician to manage and guide your healthcare. The more physicians feel respected and needed, the more likely they are to keep at and keep up with the "practice" of medicine. Along these lines, I greatly, greatly appreciate it when a patient says a simple, "thank you." Most do. It is never taken for granted by me, I assure you. It is an honor to do what I do, and would do it even without the praise or gratitude from patients. So....maybe the next time you don't have a "perfect" experience with your doctor, his/her staff, the cumbersome electronic medical record, or something else, still be glad that your doctor is there. For you. 😀
Simply saying 'thank you' doesn't adequately express my gratitude for you.
Well said, Dr. Tucker!

3moI’m just sorry that I didn’t write this for and about you. You are appreciated more than words can say. May God bless you with ongoing good health so not only can you continue as “our doctor” but also so you can enjoy the life you have. Bill I’m sure would echo these sentiments. Much love to you and all your staff and family. Kim ❤️🕊️
