Organizations tend to have an extremely narrow view of what executive leadership should look like. My daughter, Lauren Argenti Rawlings, noticed that regressive trend when she was working as a headhunter at Trewstar Corporate Board Services. And she decided to do something about it.  Now, her company Precita Placements is driving real change in boardrooms across the country by helping organizations recruit diverse leaders whose identities are commonly underrepresented in the C-suite. Lauren has always been a super-connector. At Trewstar, Lauren found a niche in headhunting women for corporate boards; when she later moved to one of the largest tech headhunting firms in San Francisco, she implemented that skill at scale.  And while she gained valuable experience at her second firm, Lauren still wanted to address the persistent gaps she saw in executive diversity and gender parity more effectively. She knew that she could make a more significant impact on her own terms. This realization led to the creation of Precita Placements. Lauren believed that by founding her own company, she could implement more innovative strategies and personalized approaches to executive placement. Her vision was to create a firm that not only identified untapped diverse talent but also actively promoted gender parity in leadership positions. The firm has made such an impact that it was even featured in the International Business Times. (I’ll link the article in the comments if you want to read it in full.) Lauren, your ability to connect with people and your drive to create meaningful change continue to inspire me and many others. Your work is a testament to what can be achieved with vision, determination, and a passion for making a difference. I am so very proud of you!

Thank you for sharing with your network and for encouraging, coaching, strategizing, and cheering me on every step of the way! I’m the luckiest entrepreneur to have a built in executive coach :)

Great to hear! I have been on boards for 20 years and very little has changed to build more diverse boards. Go get 'em Lauren! Sadly many people think that telling women and others that offer unique lived experiences that redoing their CV a thousand times is the answer. It's more complicated than that 😀

And the best part of all this is that she can control her own destiny and follow her own values now that she has her own company. Well done.
