Apply for the job. I have been applying for roles I am not *100%* "qualified" for. The worst that can happen is an e-mail rejection. I open it, say "well, that's too bad" and then move it to my "Job Hunt 23-24" folder. Rinse and repeat! Hi all, I was avoiding posting this but it’s officially been 6+ months since I was impacted by the #layoffs in tech so I think it’s time I finally ask for help. I’ve kept my head down and applied to People/HR Operations roles at some amazing companies that are focused on uplifting their people, promoting DEAI, and creating a healthy workspace for their teams. I’ve been excited for each one and I’ve been qualified/ over-qualified but unfortunately, the market is brutal and there are so many amazing candidates out there, that I have not yet found my luck.
