FILTHY DIRTY POLITICS. The two-party system is really one- that of tyranny.
Imagine this: Paul Waggoner, a Kansas Republican congressman who is ALREADY IN power, wants to more than quadruple the signature requirement for an Independent candidate to get on the ballot in his state. In my view this man should be expelled from politics today, forever.
This is exactly the type of political garbage Bobby Kennedy will unravel once he is in the White House. We are witnessing a full frontal assault on democracy and on free and fair elections. It is happening across America, because politicians do not want to work for the people and they not want to allow for anyone who will. Like Bobby.
We can sit back and watch our future fall into the hands of tyrants, or we can rise up in united fashion and declare: "I am mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
Folks, I cannot emphasize strongly enough just how close we are to the abyss. We must not fall into it. Our greatest enemy is complacency. Those of us who sit back and do nothing are as culpable in destroying America as are those who actively undermine everything we have fought and died for during the last 240 years.
The two party system is now, quite literally, the enemy of the American people and of democracy itself. And they work to cement that status every day. Many enter the system with good intentions, but they are quickly hijacked by the duopoly. The system is broken.

Is Biden betting on the wrong horse?
The upcoming US elections will be one of the if not the most consequential political event for financial markets this year. Of course, we at ECR Research and ICC Consultants BV will keep a very close tab on US politics in the coming quarters for our clients.
Over at the Financial Times, Peter Spiegel offers some very interesting observations about the presidential campaign:

Why George Clooney is an advisor in this election, except for money, eludes me. The timing of his editorial is dubious. He hosted a gala along with Julia Roberts. They must have seen infirmity in #46 but G.C. remained quiet. UNTIL 6/27. Why?
The country is in precarious condition on the international and domestic arenas. IF Progressives are only about winning, it explains why Biden is still being supported as the candidate. IF anyone cares, not about their own election cycle, but for THE COUNTRY, then they should be quite frightened. Because the choices are abysmal. Kamala Harris is best at cackling at inopportune times and being inappropriate. if that's the metric, she's your girl for President and she can break ANOTHER glass ceiling. All the Trump BASHING and stirring frenzies about despots and dictators won't cut the mustard.
Why the media collaborated with the inner circle of Obama acolytes, with the support of Jill Biden, to pretend #46 was fine, is a question all should answer. Every Citizen has two choices for this election. They may be black and gray but the one who is "there", will strengthen the country at home and abroad, is the only choice.
Sad that all the machinations took choices away from eligible voters. Perhaps that's why the Progressives seek to embrace INELIGIBLE voters! Method to their madness.

It might be comforting to think that American democracy has made it past the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection. But our research shows that a wide range of the American people, of all political stripes, seek leaders who are fundamentally anti-democratic.
It’s true that many who participated in the insurrection are facing consequences, including prison time. Many candidates for state office who falsely claimed that Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election lost their races. And the congressional committee investigating the insurrection voted to refer Trump to the Department of Justice for criminal charges.
But more than 100 members of Congress who objected to the results of a free and fair election won their reelection campaigns. And at least seven people who attended the “Stop the Steal” rally on Jan. 6 have been elected to state legislatures and two have been elected to Congress.
As scholars interested in how committed citizens are to democracy, we wanted to measure whether regular Americans want someone who will abide by democratic traditions and practices or dispense with them.
Using a nationally representative sample of 1,500 respondents, we found that a large proportion of Americans are willing to support leaders who would violate democratic principles.

Forget the words the classic concepts (democracy, equality, Nazi etc...)
We are moving forward on difficult terrain where the classic concepts of politics and political economy are no longer adequate. Because real power is not a constituted power; he does not sit as such in the House of Representatives or the Senate but is represented by the ultra wing of the Republican Party aka, the GOP (Grand Old Party) whose mission is not to manage the public sphere but , we will never repeat it enough, to destroy it.
In fact, a revolution (in the sense of a radical change of power) had been in preparation for half a century, and which was only populist in appearance. It is the time of the great transition from the sphere of public power to that of private power, of a new world order based on radically different criteria. We are not talking here about a stage of capitalism but about a redefinition of the common good which is calculated according to its utility in the laws of the market which we assume are in harmonics. It is one of those revolutions which mark the very rich history of human exchanges documented by Fernand Braudel. It's one of those "challenges" that Toynbee speaks to us about, these moments when the sharing of new territories, access and products are decided according to Harold Lasswell's formula which perfectly defines the political field: "Who gets what, when and how . » To the question “who” wants power? The answer is simple. So simple that one could say with John Kenneth Galbraith “that it is repulsive to the mind. When it comes to such an important subject, a deeper mystery seems to us to be the only decent answer.” And yet there is nothing mysterious about it anymore In the United States therefore, part of the “private sector” wanted power, not more power but all the power that there was not even a question of sharing with the public sector which had to be privatized: health, army , police and prisons inclusive. We are in a completely different register than that to which Europe is accustomed. When in France, for example, we demonstrate against the government, we are in fact demonstrating against a government that we want to replace with another. American Republican-populism wants the death of all government, does not seek to replace it and has no awareness that it is already controlled by another power. And it is certainly not about anarchy, as dreamed of by libertarians blinded by their hatred of all forms of government, and who have not understood that almost absolute power will be delegated to decision-makers in flesh and blood" . In Defense of Joe Biden Remaining on the Ballot
Calls for President Joe Biden to step aside from the upcoming election have intensified recently, echoing from both sides of the political aisle. Critics point to his lackluster debate performance and declining public image as grounds for withdrawal. However, before discarding a democratically chosen candidate, it's crucial to scrutinize the motivations behind such demands and their implications for our democratic process.
Let’s address the elephant in the room: Joe Biden’s recent debate was lackluster, and his approval ratings have taken a hit. This is undeniable. Yet, sidelining him based on conjecture about electoral outcomes or internal political pressures would betray democratic principles we claim to uphold.
The Democratic Party prides itself on championing the voice of the people, ensuring every vote counts. Voters across the nation supported Joe Biden during the primary season, demonstrating their faith in his leadership. Entertaining the idea of replacing him due to political pressure would undermine trust in our democratic process and set a dangerous precedent.
Consider the alternative: What message does it send if we discard an elected candidate because he faces challenges? It suggests the people's will is disposable in adversity. It implies the party may capitulate to pressures instead of defending democratic processes.
Moreover, dismissing Biden ignores the threat posed by his opponent to democracy. The stakes are high, and a fair democratic process is essential. Protecting democracy means honoring voter choices, even when they become challenging.
In conclusion, advocating for Joe Biden to remain on the ballot upholds the integrity of our democratic institutions. It respects millions who voted in primaries and entrusted their hopes to Biden. It confronts party hypocrisy and reaffirms commitment to democratic values. As we navigate the election, defending voter choices, even amid challenges, is crucial. Biden, chosen democratically, must remain our candidate.

American citizens are getting more and more fed up with the “two major parties”. New data indicate that 27% identify as Democrats and 27% identify as Republicans. That leaves 46% of the country sick and tired of them.
As a Centrist (leaning slightly right of center), I have been frustrated with the far left (CRT finding merit racist, and redefining words such as racism and equity) and the far right (lying about election fraud and pretending Trump is not a sociopath). I wrote a book about it: The last Lonely Traveler – From the Extremes ( https://lnkd.in/gtxMYhMx ).
The most terrifying aspect of this battle of unethical minority extremists is they are forcing the vast majority of citizens to choose between the worst presidential candidates in my lifetime. That is, President Biden went far to the left after his election to throw free money around (much to scammers) and to unnecessarily placate the AOC Squad. Former President Trump joyfully conned MAGA followers into believing Biden lost the election and to viciously attack Congress.
Neither group is more than a third of either party. 70% of citizens wish neither Biden or Trump were the candidates.
Let’s quickly find candidates that are neither pathologic liars nor associate with people that think only white people can be racist.
