Communications Leader, Strategist, Spokesperson: Create, execute, direct internal and external communications programs
Insightful questions to include in your quarterly meetings with your team. I particularly like No. 4, and I'll be incorporating it. "As a manager, it’s important to keep the lines of communication open and to gather information that will help you be more effective. There are some general questions managers should ask about direct reports’ well-being and job effectiveness, but the frequency at which you bring up these questions matters." #leadership #managing #employeecommunications

It's no secret that managers and leadership have to build the foundation for open communication. But how? Fast Company has five questions that managers can ask *quarterly* to make sure that employees feel prioritized and so that any issues or tensions do not snowball. 1. How are you doing? 2. What's a big goal you have right now? 3. What's a big obstacle you're facing? 4. What do you need to know? 5. What do you see that I don't? While leaders may add or subtract questions to/from this list, making this kind of communication the standard is crucial. #Communication #Leadership #EmployeeExperience.

Have you ever encountered these common management misconceptions ? 1️⃣ MYTH #1: Superiors must always achieve top performance. Being the absolute best isn't always the ultimate goal for managers. It's more about cultivating a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone can excel and grow together. Success is a collective effort, not an individual race! 2️⃣ MYTH #2: Just give orders, no need for heartfelt connections. Leadership is much more than just delegating tasks. Building meaningful relationships with team members is essential for effective communication, trust, and motivation. 3️⃣ MYTH #3: Individual effort is all it takes to achieve team goals. While personal dedication is undoubtedly crucial, accomplishing team objectives requires collaboration and synergy. By fostering a culture of teamwork, where diverse skills and perspectives complement one another, we can maximize performance and achieve outstanding results together. #ManagementMisconceptions #BreakTheMyth #LeadershipMindset #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #CollaborateToSucceed #RealLeadership #BetterTogether

I work with 3 Corporate Organizations each quarter to build diverse Businesses of Solutions that generate $100k monthly using their Pre-existing Consumer Base
Just led a team through a crisis successfully. Guess what?😅 One of my client's new arm of Business has been moving with so much speed that some of our functional team members could not meet up. It was a profitable growth at the speed of light😄 This is the time when you'll require a document and they'd say it's not ready yet. And as the leader of the development team, you'll need to block that feedback from your mind to avoid speedy regression of your thought process. Long story short😅 There was one document in particular that determines the possibility of a partnership meeting. Guess the response each time I asked for it... Day 1, not ready yet Day 2, not ready yet Day 3, working on it... Day 4, I decided to get it done myself in few hours. And boom, the meeting was saved for that week😅 A part of management skill as a leader is managing the process, not just the people. As much as you want to trust them enough to get things done, always be ready to close the gap when needed.😊 Tell me you've also had such experience 😄 #managementconsulting #administration #leadership

Operations | Chief of Staff | CSM | Mission driven with a strong background in organizational management, collaboration and communication, relationship building, and strategic decision making.
Ever had to lead a team with conflicting priorities? Here’s what worked for me. Early in my career, I faced a significant challenge leading a large team of new employees to the workforce, with differing priorities. By actively listening, facilitating open communication, and meeting people where they were at, we managed to realign our goals, find common ground, and secure buy-in. This approach not only helped us moving forward with future grumblings or uncertainties, all valid to bring up, but also fostered a happier, more passionate, and higher-functioning team. What’s your go-to strategy for managing team conflicts? #Leadership #PeopleManagement #Teamwork #Communication #CareerGrowth #EmployeeEngagement

Building a Strong Foundation As I reflect on my first week as Executive Director, I've learned valuable lessons in building a stronger organization. Despite initial setbacks, we've made progress, but I've also identified areas for improvement. Key takeaways: - Clear communication channels are crucial - Accountability and collaboration are essential - Measurable tasks and defined expectations are vital for success - Effective teamwork and defined workflow processes are critical for efficiency and productivity To build a strong team, we must work together effectively, establish clear lines of communication, define expectations, and streamline our workflow processes. Let's strive to create a culture of accountability, collaboration, open communication, and continuous improvement. #leadership #teamwork #communication #accountability #collaboration #organizationalsuccess #workflowprocesses #productivity"

🐣 Leading a team with a heavy hand? Imagine a mother hen who is always there. Of course, she means well, protecting her chick. But what she mostly does is discourages its ability to think independently and creatively. Micromanagement in teams mirrors this behavior. How quickly will you lose the urge to solve problems creatively when every decision requires approval? Sometimes, you as a Team Lead need to step in and guide every move. But sometimes, a delicate approach does the trick. Sometimes, crafting the right leadership style takes weeks. But sometimes, you hit the perfect balance in just a few days. A light touch often leads to better results in the long run. By relying on your team's trust and autonomy, you foster a culture of confidence and creativity. Remember, ”a team that thinks for itself will innovate and excel!” #TeamBuilding #ManagementTips #CreativeThinking #LeadershipDevelopment

𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗔 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹! As a manager, one of the toughest challenges is understanding what truly motivates and satisfies each team member. It's not always straightforward; often, employees themselves may not fully grasp their own motivations. Directly asking may not yield accurate results. A strategy that's proven effective for me is starting our weekly calls with a personal check-in. Spending the initial 5-7 minutes discussing their week and sharing mine, allows me to step into their shoes and understand their perspective. It's not just about showing care; it's about gaining insights into their individuality beyond their professional role. This approach has been invaluable in building stronger connections and fostering a supportive environment. This approach works wonders for colleagues at all levels, fostering deeper connections and a supportive environment. What techniques have you found effective in understanding and motivating your team? Let's share our hacks for better management! #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement #TeamBuilding

All Businesses Have People Problems. Mercury Helps Solve Them | Business Development at Mercury Performance Group | High School Baseball Broadcaster | US Airman
1wArt Markman makes a good point about "checking in" with our teams; however, if we can only provide space for an elongated response to the age-old, "How are you doing?" once a quarter, then we need to gain additional learning on leadership. From experience, I am convinced that leaders MUST make more space for the personal wellbeing of team members. With proper balance, employees who feel genuinely heard by their managers / leaders often feel more engaged at work, which is a major productivity boost.
