I'm grateful to everyone who contributed to this work, from each of the patients who participated, the cardiologists who collaborated with us, and especially to every member of the research group for their dedication, guidance and support. We hope that this study will enhance prognostic knowledge of this therapy for persistent AF patients, contributing to the improvement of personalized treatment approaches. This week, we are very pleased to present the article "A machine learning-based lung ultrasound algorithm for the diagnosis of acute heart failure." by Coiro S, Lacomblez C, Duarte K, Gargani L, Rastogi T, Chouihed T, and Girerd N. Pulmonary ultrasound is indeed an effective tool for diagnosing acute heart failure (AHF). This study developed an algorithm for the use of lung ultrasound in patients with acute dyspnea admitted to the emergency department to identify three risk groups (low 24%, high 70% and very high 96%) for AHF. Do you need MRI protocols to kick-start your ARIA monitoring clinical routine? ASNR Alzheimer’s Disease monitoring protocols for disease modifying therapies are now downloadable free-of-charge on MAGNETOM World. In recent breakthroughs, drugs that can slow the progress of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) – the early stage of #Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) – have become available, providing new hope to AD patients and their families and friends. Possible side effects of these drugs are called Amyloid Related Imaging Abnormalities (#ARIA), and #MRI is the method of choice to monitor for the occurrence of ARIA. The American Society for Neuroradiology (ASNR) has published a white paper on this topic (see https://lnkd.in/d6rCnUS8), and based on this publication our long-term collaboration partner Tammie Benzinger from Washington University in St. Louis/MO, USA, guided our efforts to generate protocols for ARIA monitoring for our core 3T and 1.5T #SiemensHealthineers MRI scanners. All doctors know that it is very difficult to tell whether an ECG with a CRBBB shows an AMI or not, even the clinical diagnostic guidelines say so. The new ECG (saahECG) in the (aVR) lead can scan and record the "R wave" fragmentation wave, which has a linear correlation with CAD and/or AMI. The LM or RCA coronary artery is found to be blocked or narrowed. This has also been reported in journals in recent years, but it is very difficult for existing ECGs to record the fragmentation wave of an aVR lead and the detection rate is extremely low.
