There are many books out there to educate us about one another, we just have to have an open mind to learn to see things through other people's lenses. Extending grace is also something that we all should practice, it can be as simple as sharing your umbrella with someone. #BLACK #WHITE #YELLOW #BROWN #Diversity #Equity #inclusion #Equality #Changingthenarrative #Accessibility #Weareonepeople #Buildingbridges #Goodvibes #Goodpeople #Onelove

We often post based on what we believe will resonate with our audience, but does that truly humanize our content? We discuss equal rights, DEI policies, inclusivity, and the value of feedback, but how many of us genuinely embody even 1% of these principles? Let's reflect on the authenticity of our actions. #Equality #Inclusion #Diversity #Reflection #Welcomeback #Restart #Youcanalwaysbeginagain

Reflections on presenting on a webinar on 25 years of improving people's lives So this week, Marie Pye, and I with terrific support from Nathan Salmon and Cara Low put on a webinar on how much has changed since 1998. I learnt so much from the process of putting it together - there have been massive changes, many of which we now take for granted: accessible buses, equal rights for LGBTQI plus people, much greater representation of under-represented groups in different professions and the arts. We do have much more to do but we should be thinking if things have changed so much since 1998, we can do more. Our research gave me a response to this is all 'woke' nonsense. No, it isn't, people working on equality issues have made real, tangible differences and have changed people's lives for the better. If you would like to see the recording of the webinar, subscribe to the EW Group's newsletter and ask for a copy. We would also be open for running the webinar at different events.
