Ireland as not only become a centre for manufacturing in sectors such as biopharmaceuticals, electronics, and medical technology, but it also acts as a hub for food manufacturing where we are the number one net exporter of dairy ingredients, beef, lamb and spirits in Europe. The country’s rich agricultural traditions, along with its temperate climate, ensure a steady supply of high quality raw materials.   One company exceeding standards in this sector is O'Brien Fine Foods, an intergenerational family-owned company based in Co Kildare. Employing over 700 people and is responsible for one in every two packs of cooked meats that are sold in Ireland.   John O Brien, Manging Director attributes part of the success of the company to support from Bord Bia and Enterprise Ireland where they have helped with everything from consumer research, to supporting team development and training, and capital grants to help us build our factory.   To assist O’Brien Fine Foods and others in the manufacturing space, Ibec is calling on the government to: Leverage the National Training Fund to support enterprise-led skills development and boost enterprise education engagement. Deliver a sustainable funding model to support an integrated apprenticeship system, and to reduce anomalies between craft and consortia-led apprenticeship in relation to off the job training costs. Great Places To Work - Worldwide 🌏 I received the lifecycle programme confidentially which showed from participation to accreditation with Great Places To Work This is presented to employees as strictly confidential even though their website also mentions that they analyse employee data by department, job role, managerial level, and more to identify patterns and disparities in employee experience (source: https://lnkd.in/da9Su5KU). The cost of the programme as far as I could ascertain is €5,000 to €7,500, I assume that's based on the number of employees you have. Fáilte Ireland as far as I can see work closely with Great Places To Work, and have their own accreditation programme. I would pose the question and have to the Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is this fair, that two companies work closely together and seem to have the market covered? I also posed the question how Strictly Confidential is your feedback as an employee? My journey with NQAC Dublin started back in the summer of 2021. I remember making the difficult decision to leave the leadership of two teams for one of the INC500 Fastest Growing companies in the U.S. to join the largest food manufacturer in the world as a Specialist. Some people say titles don't matter - and I agree that often they really shouldn't. However, changes in titles can impact not only how you present yourself in the future but also how your career progresses. It's important to always think strategically about your career - you own it, and you should be the first one interested in your development. Sometimes it may make sense to take a step back that may allow you to take steps forward in the direction you’re wanting for your future. The decision I made back in 2021 allowed me to learn, grow, and develop in order to be able to take on a new challenge. Although my journey at NQAC comes to an end today, I am excited to announce that I have accepted the role of Customer Facing Quality Manager for Nestlé Health Science and will officially join the team on Tuesday! #nestle #careerownership #ownyourcareer
