There's a reason critically-acclaimed house band SIXWIRE and the All Star Jam is one of our top sellers. Why is it such a slam dunk for our clients? 1. It’s the biggest bang for your buck (think - airfare costs included, (1) production rider, and minimal on-site staff). 2. You get MULTIPLE current headliners which means your meet & greet is amazing and you can hear multiple genres in one show! (This will make your leadership team very happy and increase the likelihood that there is something for everyone to enjoy that attends your event). 3. The show has minimal turnover: SIXWIRE warms up the crowd with rock covers + medleys, brings up the first guest Artist for 30 minutes of their "greatest hits," and fills the gaps until the next Artist hits the stage with more songs you know and love. When I arrived at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK I confess I was tired of watching politics on TV. It took a few months to get that chip off my shoulder. What most people are tired of is having their political news filtered or delivered with an agenda. That's something we avoid at #usatoday. Our job is to deliver the information that you need to make better decisions about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (and how to clean your kitchen or fix your #smartphone if the #problemsolved team has anything to say about it). As a result, in the past 7 days our 60-minute USA Today Politics block has scored 5 of the top 10 most viewed assets slots in our lineup. Also scoring high is the 2023 High School Sports Awards which premiered just over two weeks ago. Huge thanks to Joseph Kappel and his team for putting this together. The Suki and Scott Show also scored two of the top slots thanks to the exceptional work of Sukanya Krishnan, Scott Stanford and Jeff Meltzer. Of course it could also be their celebrity guests including members of #themoodyblues, #kansas, "Sopranos" star Vincent Pastore or the iconic Freda Payne but can any of that beat Suki and Scott singing freestyle classics? Props also to the #humankind team with their #wedding special. This one is extra special since Nicole Asinor (our Head of Ops or Maid of Honor) dreamed it up during a #bluesky idea session at our team meeting back in January. That manifested into one of the most watched features since it debuted on air. As always, props to my team. Nicole and also Kristen H. who architects our broadcast day to enable our viewers to find amazing content. #tvnews is not hard to sell at all. If you treat your audience with respect and deliver the information without an agenda, you'll find that viewers appreciate when you get to the point! This episode of The RE-CAP show (with Christen Press and Tobin Heath) features Andrea Brimmer of Ally, who discusses their 50-50 Pledge, announced about a year ago on the 50th anniversary of Title IX. The idea was simply a pledge to spend equally between men's and women's sports. A few things stood out: – They realized then that 90% of their sports investment was going into men's sports, and 10% to women. By the end of this year, that will be a 60-40 split, for 300% improvement (ahead of schedule). – Ally played a big role in getting the NWSL Championship in 2022 moved to a primetime slot, the first time ever in 10 years at that point, that the Championship would be broadcast on primetime. –Ally has a multi-million deal with ESPN of which 90% of that investment goes to women's sports. – Women's sports are not just a charity/tax write-off; they are good business. Because of their investment in women's sports, Ally has seen major improvements in various KPIs such as brand awareness, positive sentiment that is 3x higher than the financial services category as a whole, and a 70% increase in female customer base.
