🛳 Attending the MCN Members' Meeting in Bremen was an insightful experience! 🌟 I had the opportunity to gain exciting insights into the Maritimes Cluster Norddeutschland (MCN) activities and current challenges. My key takeaways from the event include: 1️⃣ MCN is part of the ResC4EU initiative, aiming to create resilient international supply chains in Europe and strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises in the maritime industry. 2️⃣ Ship efficiency and fuels are among the industry's biggest challenges, and MCN is developing guidelines to support decision-makers. 3️⃣ Recruitment of talents is essential for the industry, and MCN serves as a platform for exchanging with recruitment experts to effectively target young talents. 4️⃣ As part of their current strategy, MCN consolidates and enhances its efforts to offer members valuable exchange and guidance on technological and digital transformation. Additionally, it was great and inspiring to see the passion and commitment of the MCN team in bringing the maritime industry together. Engaging with fellow members allowed me to discuss these challenges and explore possibilities for further cooperation. Anne Marie Chebib, newly elected Chair of the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association , joins Gary Twining-Wright and I to discuss her career, the role of the UKCMA, and the future. What’s great about Annie, is she's down to earth, has walked the walk, and as her 28yr career demonstrates, has put in the hard yards. It is testament to her skills, ability, knowledge, and experience that she has been elected by her peers to lead this very influential association. Consequently, anyone regardless of gender, looking for a role model, need look no further for inspiration. Annie told us of the soon to be released Safer Practices/Guidance document for owners and operators of venues below arena level. The United Kingdom Crowd Management Association, the Night Time Industries Association and others had recognised the growing need for this document. Consequently, Annie, Eric Stuart QPM , Michael Kill, John Collins, Julie Tippens , Prof. Dr. G. Keith Still, Luke from Fabric, a couple of KCs, and many others pooled their collective expertise to make it so. Best of all it’s free to everyone with an interest in guest safety anywhere in the world. This is a fantastic public protection/safety initiative which will help save lives. We touched on the direction of the UKCMA. Why it exists. The vital role it plays in creating civilised space. And of course, why joining makes you part of the solution. Finally, Annie speaks of her hopes for the future. A future that creates a host of opportunities for people of all demographics to have fulfilling careers. It’s not everyday that we hear about major companies running out of money, but the recent news about Enbridge INC and their financial troubles has certainly caused a stir. As a leading figure in the industry, I feel it’s important to address the situation and provide some insight into what’s really going on behind the scenes. First and foremost, I want to emphasize that Enbridge INC is not the only player in the game. In fact, they have been taking advantage of innovative companies like ours and leaving us unpaid for our hard work. We hold the highest stakes at the company and have been pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation, only to be thrown in the trash by Enbridge INC. At Indigehous Opportunities Corporation, we pride ourselves on being more than just another company in the industry. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries and putting a good edge to the industry with our proactive defense technology. Despite reaching out to Enbridge INC to discuss a potential partnership, they have ignored our calls and hung up the phone on us. It’s clear that they are more concerned with their own financial gain than the value we can bring to the industry. The government and stakeholders need to wake up and realize what’s really going on. Enbridge INC’s lack of prioritizing safety and their employees’ well-being is a major concern. Their failure to address equipment breakdowns and the subsequent risks to their workers is simply unacceptable. It’s time for them to face the consequences of their actions and address these critical issues head on. As I continue to fight for what is owed to me and my company, I want to encourage others to stand up and speak out against this mistreatment. By shedding light on the truth, we can hold companies like Enbridge INC accountable for their actions and push for a more fair and transparent industry. In conclusion, I stand firm in my belief that Enbridge INC’s financial troubles are a direct result of their disregard for safety, innovation, and hardworking companies like ours. It’s time for a change, and I’m committed to being a part of that change.
