It was a huge honor to once again be invited to Tokyo to run two consecutive sessions on Value Creation and the deep lessons on service excellence that can be learned from Japan in partnership with Yoshinori Yoshi Fujikawa, PhD. Thank you to James C. Liu and the entire EHL Graduate School and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) teams for organizing such a great event, and to Yoshie Sugai for helping participants gain a deep understanding of these lessons through physical experiences of Aikido philosophy and movements and Nicolas SOERGEL for helping us all understand more about Japan's heritage businesses and the shokunin spirit through the incredible story of CHINRIU HONTEN, est. 1871.

Value creation, creating value. The chef’s dedication for the Unagi rice bowl before my departure is another great example of the shokunin spirit. Thanks Philip! See you soon EHL Graduate School
