CONGRATS COHORT NO. 15: Congratulations are in order for our new nurse residents! Earlier in the week 29 new nurses graduated from our year-long Nurse Residency program. The nurse residency program supports new graduates as they transition into their first professional role of our healthcare team.

Phoebe Nursing Leaders, Haley Kimbrell and Kelsey Reed, honored Albany Technical College licensed practical nursing students in front of their peers today. Deja Bryant, Keiyanna Harris, and Tynisha McCray were training on one of our acute care floors recently when the medical emergency team had to rush to the bedside of a patient to provide urgent care. The students demonstrated exceptional compassion and superior service to the patient’s spouse. Without being asked to do so, they stepped in and provided empathetic support, embodying the true essence of nursing. We are proud of their actions and of our partnership with ATC to train the healthcare professionals of tomorrow. Thank you, Deja, Keiyanna, and Tynisha, for a making a difference and showing us that the future of nursing is in great hands.

The Phoebe Family Medicine Residency honored the Class of 2024 at a graduation ceremony Saturday at Doublegate Country Club. Awards were also presented at the graduation ceremony. Dr. Patel and Michelle Wilson, MD, were honored for serving as Co-Chief Residents of the Class of 2024. Dr. Wilson was also chosen as Resident of the Year, and Jordan Bradwell, DO, was named Intern of the Year after completing his first year of the residency program.

This week, our support staff for the Memory Clinic at Phoebe Northwest attended the Georgia Memory Net Summit in Jekyll Island. They focused on improving assessments, accurate diagnoses, and enhancing care.
