🌟 Embracing the New Year with Purpose and Preparation! 🌟 As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on my own journey so far and gearing up for the opportunities that lie ahead. ✍️ As a coach, I witness the transformative power of setting meaningful goals and aligning them with personal values. It's not just about resolutions; it's about creating a roadmap for growth and fulfillment. 🔍 Here's a glimpse into my year-end ritual: 1️⃣ Reflection on Achievements: Taking stock of what I've accomplished is crucial. Celebrating wins, big or small, fuels motivation and sets the stage for future success. Truly its been an amazing year in 2023. 2️⃣ Learning from Challenges: What didn't work? What challenges did I face? These questions guide me in refining my strategies, fostering resilience, and turning setbacks into stepping stones. Injury that still heals and I now focus on the healing process not the injury. 3️⃣ Early Prep for the New Year: Instead of waiting for January 1st, I start my preparations a few months in advance. This allows me to enter the new year with a clear vision, ready to hit the ground running. I also coach this. I also journal daily that keeps me focused. 4️⃣ Focus on Creation: While it's essential to acknowledge the past, my main focus is on what I can create in the coming year. What new goals can I set? What positive changes can I make? It's about channeling energy into building a brighter future.So exciting to do this and I also add my travel plans to this list. As we step into the new year, I encourage you to reflect on your journey, recognise your achievements, and boldly envision the possibilities ahead. Isn't it tiring to always want MORE?🤔 This was one of the first questions I received as a High Performance Coach, and it's a compelling one. In our pursuit of the next goal, the journey can indeed become exhausting. We encounter obstacles, challenges, and setbacks. Yet, there's an undeniable pull to keep moving...but doesn't this eventually become exhausting? Maybe - but not if you're focused on the right kind of MORE. MORE isn't about money, fame, or any form of external validation. If your MORE is about making an impact and serving others, you're in for an energizing journey. In our lives, we are given a gift that we share with the world. It's all about making an impact, whether big or small. MORE is ultimately about the legacy we wish to leave behind. 🌟 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵: 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 🌟 Life often places us at unexpected crossroads. Recently, I encountered a series of challenges that pulled me away from my professional journey—three profound losses in my close relatives' families 🕊️, the chaos of home renovations 🛠️, and the emotional rollercoaster of my daughter’s admission process 🎓. These weren’t just distractions; they were deep, life-shifting moments that demanded my full presence. 𝑨𝒔 𝒂 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒓, 𝑰 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝒑𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 🏆. Yet, life sometimes teaches us that no matter how disciplined we are, there are moments when we must step back, not by choice, but by necessity. These are the times when life’s lessons are most profound 💡. What truly matters is how we respond when life presses pause ⏸️. It’s in the reflection, the regrouping, and the decision to step forward again that our true strength is revealed 💪. 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡𝙨 🎯. That’s why I always suggest to students: follow your 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨. This combination will keep you motivated to stand up again, no matter how many times life knocks you down. Life may test us, but it also shapes us. It’s okay to be momentarily derailed 🚧. What’s important is the determination to get back on track, stronger and more focused than before. As we bid goodbye to another year and get ourselves ready for a bright (hopefully) new chapter, it's crucial to pause, reflect, and prepare for what's next. The key to moving forward often lies in understanding our past. That's why I consider summing up the year results as a very useful practice both for professional and personal parts of our lives. This year may have been full of triumphs and challenges, a roller-coaster ride perhaps. Every experience has value - they shaped our growth and transformation. So, take some time to ponder your triumphs, hurdles, learnings, and unanticipated outcomes of the past year. But don't dwell too long. After all, the future awaits. Let's greet it with fervor and clear goals that align with our deepest aspirations and values. Here are some steps to guide your goal setting for the New Year: 1️⃣ Vision: Envision where you see yourself a year from now. Set concrete, achievable long-term goals. 2️⃣ Plan: Break down your vision into smaller, manageable goals. Regular chunks make it less daunting and more attainable. 3️⃣ Action: Determine the steps you must take to reach those smaller goals. Make an action plan. 4️⃣ Accountability: Share your goals with peers, mentors, or coaches. Their support, perspective, and accountability can be invaluable. 5️⃣ Gratitude: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude for your journey- it’s your best motivator.
