Very well said! COVID has accelerated businesses in technological adoption and also allowed for flexi-work arrangements. Climate change has also drawn attention to net-zero initiatives and sustainability practices, failing which businesses will eventually 'green-out' of the supply chain. In my humble opinion, IHLs could also support SBF's quest in helping businesses, by having our students to be the implementers of solutions through their final year projects and internships! It's a win-win situation where students are given real world problem statements to solve whereas businesses could gain access to young talents as future employees!

I am looking forward to Singapore hosting the Advisory Board Centre Summit this October. As the business landscape in Asia continues to evolve, small to medium enterprises (SME’s) are increasingly recognizing the value of advisory boards in driving informed decision-making and sustainable growth. This trend is particularly notable in Singapore, where the government has actively promoted the adoption of advisory boards as a strategic tool for SMEs. I have started to delve into the importance of raising awareness for advisory boards in Singapore and the impact of the Advisory Board Centre in this growth space. The government's commitment to supporting SMEs through initiatives like the ScaleUp SG program, which provides funding and resources for companies to establish advisory boards. According to Enterprise Singapore, over 70% of SMEs that participated in the ScaleUp SG program reported improved decision-making processes and better risk management after forming advisory boards (EnterpriseSG, 2022). By tapping into the collective wisdom and diverse perspectives of advisory boards, SME’s in Singapore and across Asia can gain a competitive edge, mitigate risks, and position themselves for long-term success in an increasingly dynamic and globalized business environment. #advisoryboardcentresingapore #advisoryboardcentre

Really really interesting intro. Here is a post that should support your intro: #IVSC, #RICS, #ANEVAR and #WAVO. I was invited to present my papers on #MarketRent and Market Rent Revisited (1995 and 2004) at first WAVO Conference in 2006 in Singapore. The Romanian presenters, George Badescu and Ion Anghel both presented two extremely interesting papers. They have both held Board Positions on IVSC over the years. This is interesting considering ANEVAR have only been a Valuation / Appraisal Institute since the early 90s so they have come a long long way NB 2006 vs 1993 say! Ion spoke on Intellectual Property; his add on sentence at the end was: "Oh and by the way a Lease Agreement is an Intangible Asset." That was the last piece of the jigsaw I needed in my thinking to link various pieces together in regard to Valuation / Appraisal. I was already deeply involved linking leases & rents to Market Value in the Retail Arena; which is extremely challenging. My papers through and until 2020 including several to those listed above developed my thinking to our Software as a Service product. As it is, we are far far too small to build our SaaS into a business. It really needs an office of circa 10 - 15 people in Australia alone! Our Business Broker is on to this. He has an MBA from UCLA and really has captured what encompasses our Intellectual Property well. I attach his short but useful description of what comprises of our SaaS below. It have been circulated before. Another really important point I want to make (already Published and Copyrighted) is that in 2022 already, I started linking #MicroEconomics points of #Supply and #Demand and #ContractLaw the point of #Offer and #Acceptance (free from #duress #misrepresentation #coercion #unconscionable Conduct to #MarketRent. What our SaaS is doing is linking: Valuation / Appraisal to Micro Economics to Contract Law whereby parties are able to for the first time Test the Veracity of these points. I am really really proud of these achievements including my contribution to IVS 40.1!
