☁️ Amazon Web Services (AWS) churns out new products at a dizzying pace, and it takes a lot of effort just to keep up with the news and try out the new products. But as of late, OpenAI and Microsoft Azure have caused ripple effects throughout the industry, leaving folks wondering what AWS are going to do about it. Luckily, at the Baloise CH Mobility Unit, we're partnering with both so while it's double the effort to keep up to date, but it's been fantastic to see how these industry leaders compete for the benefit of the ecosystem. As I like to get my hands dirty with the latest technologies, I've found AWS Immersion Days very useful. It's a compact format so doesn't take a whole day, but as it's well-prepared, you can cover quite a large set of sub-topics and technologies in the session. Classroom style, but going at your own pace, so if you run into problems, the AWS folks can help you out. ➡️ This time I attended the #GenAI Immersion Day and made a video about it, with a few shots from around Helsinki too! The day covered obviously various AWS services, but the main focus being their entirely new Generative AI offering called Bedrock, along with Foundation Models, LangChain, Streamlit, and more - can't wait to put these into practice with the portfolio startups.
