Understanding our country’s past is essential to building a more just future. This #Juneteenth, I want to highlight the important work of Pivotal Ventures' partner The African American Policy Forum. Founded by Kimberlé Crenshaw, AAPF is dedicated to honoring Black history, dismantling structural inequality, and advancing racial and gender justice.
As a small business owner, engineer, i collaborated with a production to do a videoseries "28days of engineering & stolen patents". I agree that learning from our history can create a better future! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmqTDlTWhHQUuqYhpV6RnZQAKBCeDeehG&si=FP6tUFoAHRKfNmwN
Melinda, I need your help. My client, Higher Ground, is a state-of-the-art communications equipment company that can help Ukraine win the war against Russia. Higher Ground is located in Palo Alto, CA. Higher Ground has devices that can tell Ukrainian soldiers exactly where the enemy is located, so they can target more accurately and use less bullets. We have been told that Ukraine is always running out of bullets. That has been a major problem for them. Higher Ground also has devices that allow Ukrainian soldiers to talk to each other without the other side listening in. This will help them call for reinforcements in time of need. The U.S. Special Forces is already working with Higher Ground for years. However, we need to raise money from private companies to get this equipment to Ukraine as soon as possible, yes faster than the U.S. government can act. I can have two highly placed officials from the military meet with company executives to explain the current situation. Whatever you can do would be greatly appreciated. Can you meet with two of our military men, or the CEO of Higher Ground, so they tell you why we need you so. Thank you Lois Whitman-Hess [email protected]
So many, keep trying to erase the past. Remember it and everything we learned, but do not carry the pain from the past, forward, because it will create hate and anger and animosity. History teaches us what not to do,what to avoid, what not to repeat, unless it was good and then we carry it forward and empower everyone with the goodness. History has value. It was where we started and allows a measure of how far we've come. Release the pain of the past and fill the present future with all your goodness.
i agree, well spoken
Thank you supporting and driving the change that’s needed.
I am so glad and pleased to see that you are backing @the African American Policy Forum. They are doing groundbreaking work and deserve flexible long-term support.

3wConnecting the dots between racial and gender justice on this important date is a good idea. Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom is fragile. Freedom is often conditional. Freedom can be given and taken away with the stroke of a pen or the casting of a ballot. The Union Army arriving in Galveston that day was a reminder that sometimes you have to intercede in order to proceed. Glad that Pivotal Ventures is interceding when and where it can.
