USBC Hill Day served as a powerful demonstration of the organization’s ongoing commitment to economic empowerment and policy advocacy. The event aimed to achieve three primary objectives: 1. Raise Awareness: USBC leaders sought to enhance congressional members' awareness of the existence and impact of U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. affiliates within their respective districts. These discussions focused on the social and economic contributions of member companies, highlighting their vital role in local communities. 2. Educate on Current Issues: The meetings provided an essential platform to inform congressional members and their staff about the pressing issues affecting the minority business community at both national and local levels. USBC representatives outlined the challenges faced by Black businesses and the broader implications for economic equity. 3. Request Legislative Action: USBC leaders advocated for specific actions to support local minority businesses. These requests included cosponsoring legislation, sending letters of concern, making floor statements, holding field hearings, and requesting committee hearings on relevant issues. Reflecting on the impact of genuine connections – I didn't know EBJ through her work; I knew her through her interactions with me personally, and how she treated people. That's what truly earned my trust in her work. It's a reminder that character holds immense value beyond professional realms. Similarly, our character, the essence of who we are, shapes every facet of our lives. It's the foundation upon which trust, respect, and meaningful connections are built. #CharacterMatters #TrustBeyondWork #PartnershipManager #RelationshipManager

I was on the call. A very inspirational, historical, and much-needed call to action. Imagine a world where our voices rise together in unity, where our collective strength propels us toward a brighter future. Today, we stand at the crossroads of history, witnessing the power and potential of Black leadership with Vice President Kamala Harris's run for President. This is not just a moment; it's a movement. Are we supporting at 50% or 100%? Securing the funds for a successful campaign is crucial, but it’s only half the battle. The other half, the part that secures our victory, is our commitment to voting. Let’s ensure every voice is heard, every vote is counted, and our support is unwavering. This is our time to shine, to prove that our unity is our strength. Let’s make sure we’re all registered to vote, and let’s turn out in numbers that cannot be ignored. Together, we can secure not just the dollars, but the destiny of our nation. I am Shante Saulsberry, and I believe in the power of us. Let’s make history together. #womeninpolitics #votenow #RegisterToVote
