We need more social entrepreneurial spirit to advance the world in many of the pressing issues we are facing”, Peter Maurer, former president of the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC, encouraged members of the elea Entrepreneurs’ Community in an expert session. In a conversation with elea CEO Andreas R. Kirchschlaeger, he shared his perspective on global poverty, methods of fighting it, including the pivotal role social entrepreneurship plays in this fight, and conveyed his opinion about leadership. As a long-time admirer of elea’s pioneering role in philanthropic impact investing, Peter joined elea’s Comité de Patronage in October 2022. We are honored that he is actively developing and growing our entrepreneurs' community. He will contribute to further shaping our entrepreneurial approach to fighting poverty with his vast expertise in leadership and his extensive global network.
