It's unacceptable - sexual violence remains a widespread violation in conflict. Join this important discussion convened by International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC.

Anyone can be a victim of #sexualviolence. Despite clear legal prohibitions, sexual violence remains widespread and prevalent during armed conflicts and other situations of violence, as well as in detention. It occurs in various contexts and has grave humanitarian consequences. #COVID19 has only made the situation worse. Join ICRC, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) & the SEMA Network for a live conversation on sexual violence in conflict settings. Sadly most victims of sexual violence do not talk about it, thereby giving room to more abuse. Anyone can be a victim. However the message is passed across should be taken seriously…especially young girls, women in underserved communities pls!!!

Critical issue here! People living in conflict area are especially exposed to SV. Peace and order must be worked on.

Sexual violence is a painful and hurtful experience. It attacks the core of your existence as a victim and I hope the affected persons are lucky enough to get the moral support.

#InternationalCommitteeoftheRedCross has asked russian authorities to allow it to open an office in rostov-on-don, a southern port city bordering Ukraine, said International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC head, Peter Maurer the money people donated to the red cross to help Ukraine, which is being attacked by russia... go to russia!!! to help with the deportation of Ukrainians. (Ukrainian women and children are taken away their documents and are being deported to russia AGAINST THEIR WILL!) while russia doesn't let Ukrainians leave through green channels and is shelling civilians! IRCH hasn't been to bombed Mariupol and Chernihiv because 'it's dangerous' but meeting with Lavrov is ok?! what a hell is going on with this organization that it's helping terrorists?! (I actually have suspected this a long time ago)

Ukrainians are grateful to you for evacuating civilians from Azovstal! It is a truly noble thing to save lives. But we still have to ask for help. Soldiers of the Azov Regiment bravely defend their country, they have become the heroes of our time. However, they have little food and ammunition, many wounded. Help save their lives! It is unbearable to watch people die and be unable to help. You can save our superheroes. Help us evacuate our soldiers!

Domestic sexual violence is extremely difficult to track down since it can go on undetected for long periods of time. Sometimes both parents know about it but they keep it hidden from society.
