The course includes the following: 🚲 Current UK targets and best practice guidance 🚲 Benefits of cycling 🚲 Best practice cycling strategy documents 🚲 The LCWIP process with examples 🚲 Behaviour change module, including behaviour change theory 🚲 The importance of storytelling I would recommend the course to others looking to explore the intersection of bike planning, infrastructure design and behaviour change - noting that infrastructure changes are a form of societal change. #CIHT #decarbonisetransport #netzero

Intro to Adaptive Sports - Cycling - How about some pedal power as a competitive sport, or a leisurely ride with family or friends? There are all kinds of different bikes and trikes and adaptive equipment. Adapted bikes come in all shapes and sizes, from bicycles-built-for-two for visually impaired riders to handcycles for those with mobility impairments. Trikes are great for those with balance issues. When constructing cycling infrastructure and creating cycling facilities, it is important to take into account different types of cyclists: from ‘practical’ cyclists to ‘recreational’ cyclists. Germany can be considered as a developing country for childrens idependand active mobility…. Too many depend on parental taxi and public transport services. Active mobility is the best for scool scores and health!

There is clear evidence that starting cycling at an early age has a positive relationship to childhood development from 0-3 years old.
