    #BrentwoodSocialPrescribing After a period of recovery, I found myself back at our Holistic Hub today and I was truly touched by the turnout. Both familiar faces and newcomers gathered, seeking support and relaxation through conversation, a warm cup of tea and an hour of mindfulness. Witnessing the smiles on their faces, despite the challenges many face - ranging from cancer treatment to surviving strokes, battling dementia, or being caregivers- has reignited my commitment to providing even more support. At the heart of it #socialprescribing isn't about addressing medical needs; it's about fostering a sense of community and ensuring that no one feels isolated as they age. Today's gathering is a testament to that. Our Hub stands as a beacon of support and none of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of our stakeholders: Brentwood Borough Council, Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System, Provide Community, Active Essex,@BrentwoodPCN. In a world where medicalisation often takes centre stage, we mustn't forget the power of social connections and a sense of belonging. These elements aren't just additives; they are essential ingredients for both longevity and happiness.
