Sometimes you know it's time to fly again. I've helped Cprime scale massively from just 29 people in EMEA in the last, nearly 4 years but now it's time to rest, take some time out then take to the air in a new venture. We've pretty much doubled in size at WOAW over the last 8 months. Here's how: -> We got our house in order. Before focusing on what we could offer outwardly, there were things I felt we could do better internally. We tweaked job roles/responsibilities to make things more varied, more efficient and more fluid. We reconsidered the culture we actually wanted to build going forward, too. -> We made open communication a priority. There has been full transparency from me about the decisions I make for the business, which leaves the team in no doubt about what their work is contributing to. -> We shifted our focus. We've always been focused on providing results for our clients, but our process now focuses even more on ROI and, specifically, how we can provide it for the multitude of different clients we work with respectively. -> More candour. If something isn't good enough, I know I can tell the team honestly and that it'll be taken as it was intended. Equally, the team know they can let me know if there's something that's not working for them. Productivity & results have risen as a result. -> I've been (mostly) able to focus on stuff I'm good at. I've made a massive effort to put the right things in place to free myself up for things I can actually provide value in. Need admin support? Work with an EA. Need advice on finances/legal? Go to my advisor. Being versatile is important, but leveraging strengths is even more so. -> Hired amazing people on top of the top class people we already had on the team. This is notoriously easy to get wrong, but when you get it right, it makes the world of difference. As we head towards 2024, one of my main tasks is to take stock again and question how we can make this continued growth sustainable.
