The cream of the domestic economy gathered at a conference organized by the Embassy of India in Croatia. Raj Kumar Srivastava, India's ambassador to Croatia, and one of the most active foreign ambassadors, is trying his best to connect Croatian and Indian companies, strengthen their cooperation, and increase trade, but domestic companies still rarely decide to enter this huge market. Infobip in India, revealed Boris Pogačnik, vice president, has been operating since 2012 when they acquired the B-Smart company. Today, they have 200 employees there, and four offices, and the Indian market makes up 30 percent of the total volume of traffic, that is, the number of transactions. Their clients are banks and financial institutions, and they see a new opportunity in 'e-commerce', which is growing rapidly in India. *There is no reason to fear* Altpro, a company that manufactures signalling and safety devices for railways, has been operating in India for 15 years and it took time for them to win bigger jobs, says Board member Tin Viduk. One of their clients is the second largest railway company in India and the ninth in the world, and the value of the five-year contract is EUR 25 million. They entered the Indian market with the help of partners. There is no room for fear due to the size of the market, he says. "Doing business in India does not mean cooperation with India, but cooperation with compatible companies and a niche market. When entrepreneurs realize this, the fear will disappear," the Indian ambassador points out. *The potential of cooperation also lies in the exchange of talents* Currently, there are 12,500 Indians in Croatia, says Srivastava, and their integration must be a strategic state policy.
